Olympia Coin Figaro Chain Necklace
A beautiful ancient coin replica cast in bronze.
The obverse side features an Eagle with the wings spread, grasping a hare.
The reverse depicts a Thunderbolt, with wings above and volutes below.
One can see letters right and left Ϝ Α (digamma-alfa, first two letters of Elis in local dialect: ϜΑΛΙΣ, walis).
Elis or Ilia (Greek: Ηλεία, Ileia)
The engraver who cut the dies for this piece was justly proud of them, and added his signature CE.
Having looked it up a little bit, i think it is dated somewhere between 432-421 b.c
It has been solidly mounted in a sterling silver setting in a way that one can wear it both sides.
The handmade bail of the pendant has a mechanical movement and is suspended by a Lobster swivel clasp made in solid silver , that
gives the piece a contemporary touch .
You can wear it either alone or paired with long or short length chain necklaces for an even bolder look.
Polished it to a beautiful burnished finish.
Choose between the sterling silver and bronze or the 18k gold plated over silver version of this.
Regarding the gold plated version: We give our pieces the ”Double d’ Ór” gold plating which gives a 1.5 micron of thickness layer of 18 karat gold over silver that allows it to be much more durable over time.

Pendant length from bail to end: approx. 4.5 cm
